Short Listed For A Latin Grammy

1/22/2015 - Category: music, outperformance, grammys,

I seriously studied Latin music in my early 20s. I transcribed hundreds of albums and was mentored by top specialists in Latin music in Europe and Cuba.

That's how I ended up on stage with one of the most famous salsa bands, Bamboleo, at 21 years old in Cuba.

A few years later, I got a call from legendary and Grammy-nominated Cuban violin player Alfredo De La Fe to help him produce a song for his new album "Sin Limites". The singer for this tune, called "Bad Girl," was another Grammy-nominated artist, Raheem DeVaughn.

The album was shortlisted for a Latin Grammy in the "Best Contemporary Tropical Album" category.
