On Stage With Bamboleo At 21 In Cuba

As a french countryside musician, it was pretty unreal to end up playing on stage with one of the most famous and modern salsa band, Bamboleo. I was 21 years old.

Carlos "El Bola" Betancourt was one of my mentors at the time. He was a music director for the best cuban bands and an elite trumpet player. As I was staying in Santa Suares in La Havana, he randomly introduced me to Lazaro Valdes, music director for Bamboleo. Lazaro told me they were performing at night and that I should come and play...It happened!
